If You Have Five Seconds to Spare 
Rachael, I just read your The Loft post. You are right on every point. When emotions emerge from stories, then the reader begins to connect, to understand the depth of experiences, to grasp that which shaped lives.
True! And sometimes those emotions are difficult to write.
