Obviously there are more than seven films that address the topic of children and grief. But there are two that immediately came to mind that aren’t on this list. How can someone forget…

My Girl (1991). Featuring an all-star cast of Macauley Culkin, Anna Chlumsky, Dan Ackroyd and Jamie Lee Curtis. I won’t give any spoilers, but it’s a tender and sweet movie. I have a soft spot for it since the character Vada lives in a funeral home 🙂

Bridge to Terabithia (2007). Based on the best-selling book by Katherine Paterson. When I first read the book in around fifth grade, it struck me as the best thing I had ever read. I still feel that way. The movie adaptation is pretty good, but make sure you read the book if you see the movie.

What movies would you put on this list?
