Me.

Me.

This is one of the first pictures taken of me. I can’t sit up or hold my head, so that would make me what? One or two months old?

I think of the copious variety of pictures people take of their kids today. Nearly every moment is documented. One can hardly imagine not taking a picture at the hospital shortly after birth. But I don’t have any pictures from the hospital, nor do I have any pictures where Mom is pregnant with me. It’s interesting to think that just 40 years ago, we were content to experience our life moments and didn’t feel the need to snap a picture of every event, whether momentous or mundane.

I’ll probably take some pictures today. I like the ease in which we can document events. Now the question is, how do we organize those thousands of photos? Mine sit on my phone or computer. They are somewhat organized on my computer, but who gets to see them? I miss the photo album days.
